Audrey & rob
A Scottish Destination Wedding Filled with Romance, Falconry & Fireworks
Audrey and Rob’s wedding weekend at Glenapp Castle was the kind of celebration that feels like a chapter from a storybook - intimate, elegant, and rooted in both romance and tradition. Nestled along Scotland’s Ayrshire coast, the castle’s ivy-clad façade and sprawling gardens provided a cinematic setting for a weekend-long gathering of loved ones from across the globe.
The couple, who met serendipitously at a bar on Audrey’s 30th birthday, brought their guests from Florida, New York, and California for a full weekend immersed in the Scottish countryside. The wedding day itself, held on a crisp October Saturday, began with a traditional ceremony at Inch Church in Stranraer. A lone piper greeted guests on arrival, filling the air with the haunting sounds of the Highlands, while Audrey made her entrance to the timeless tones of a live organist.
Back at Glenapp, the cocktail hour unfolded with a flourish - signature drinks in the castle’s red dining room, a Champagne tower by the windows, and the unforgettable experience of falconry on the lawns. Guests had the rare chance to fly eagles and handle majestic birds of prey with the castle’s gardens as their backdrop. Audrey and Rob, radiant and relaxed, joined in after their couple shoot, making memories among their guests and the falcons alike.
The reception was held in a clear-topped marquee overlooking the Italian Gardens, softly lit as twilight fell. Speeches gave way to fireworks - a sparkling moment before the dance floor came alive with the sounds of Luna Showband, a 15-piece ensemble that carried the celebration late into the night.
Every element of Audrey and Rob’s day was considered but never forced - deeply stylish, emotionally grounded, and full of personal touches. From her incredible Berta gown and Fiori Glasgow florals, to the Scottish whiskey bar and midnight cake slices, it was a destination wedding that perfectly balanced timeless romance with modern flair.
